Who Can Participate in the 2026 Holiday Drive?

At HALOS, we recognize the love, time, and commitment it takes to care for a child. We are honored to support our kinship families during the holiday season.

To participate in the 2026 Holiday Drive, your family must:

  1. Have a kinship child age 3 through 18 living in your home who is included in the HALOS database.

  2. Have participated in at least one HALOS service or activity during the 12 months before Holiday Drive applications open. This can include:

    • Taking part in Kinship Navigation Services and completing an intake or case planning session.

    • Attending at least 4 caregiver support groups or educational workshops, either in person or online. A combination of groups and workshops also counts.

    • Volunteering in an official role at a HALOS event or service on the HALOS Advisory Board.

  3. We ask that you use this program if your kinship child is not on any other holiday list and will not have a holiday gift without this program.

We understand that every family’s situation is different. These requirements help us serve families fairly and make sure Holiday Drive resources reach caregivers who are actively connected with HALOS.

What if I do not meet these requirements?

You may still apply. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements above, your family will be placed on a waiting list. If you are not an eligible family, you will be placed on the waitlist until we identify a sponsor.

We know the holidays can be a challenging time for families, and we appreciate all that you do to care for the children in your home.
